Test practice

A few years ago I took a test like this one to measure my level of English, mainly when I went on an exchange to the United States , so it seemed familiar to me, therefore, not very difficult, however, you have to be aware of the texts and audios because they name things that seem to be the answers but aren´t, they can be misleading, that is the most complex part since it can confuse you, beyond that the rest is simpler.

Someone interesting on social media

For today´s topic I will talk to you about a very talented makeup artist. Since I was approximately 15 I´ve been very interested in the art of makeup, eventually leading me to study it. Thanks to social media I´ve been able to discover many amazing people who practice this art, one of them is Mei Pang, better known as "meicrosoft", the first time I found out about her was through Youtube where her channel was recommended to me, I was 17 at that time, the first thing that caught my attention was her symmetrical tattoos and that she had a shaved head, I had never seen someone with that aesthetic and I found her very interesting, at first she made videos talking about different things, she also shared about her sobriety journey and the truth is that she had a very charming personality. From the beginning of her career her makeup skills always stood out and little by little she ventured more into it until she reached what she is today, one of the most outstanding makeup artist o

A Chilean Landmark

As I mentioned in my blog, I´m originally from the sixth region, specifically Machalí, next to rancagua, the city does not have much to offer honestly, but if you go to the mountain range you will find quite nice places. Due to the proximity to where I live, I have gone several times with my family and friends to explore and get away from the city, sometimes we go near the river, other times we have gone to the "Rio los Cipreses" National Reserve, but my favorite place is further away, near a lagoon that is in the mountain range, I can´t remember its name :( The place I am talking about has no name, it´s not a tourist spot, it´s on the road and I always ask my family to stop there, there´s always grass and it also has a small lagoon that has small frogs, I love the tranquility there, it´s a perfect place to sit and watch the landscape and rest, there´s no one around so you can enjoy the time even more, the last time I went we sat down to have a picnic and look at

My trip to Malalcahuello!

Imagen
Since I´ve already talked a lot about my trip to Puerto Natales, today I´ll talk about another trip that I enjoyed a lot, this one was to Malalcahuello, a town in the foothills in the Araucanía region, I went to this place twice, the first time was with my grandparents when I was 14 and the second time was with my parents when I was 16, both times we arrived by car and stayed in the same place, an ecological hostel called "Casa Verde" in fact, we stayed in the same room both trips. The owners of the place were an older couple, they were very nice and made breakfast and dinner for those of us who stayed there, their food was delicious, especially the soup, plus, the company was good, all the guests ate together, the owners ate with us too, so we met very nice people and there was a very homely atmosphere, I really recommend the place if you have the opportunity to go! The times we visited Malalcahuello it was winter, so there was A LOT of snow, I had se

My mom

The person I will talk about in this post is my mom, one of my favorite person in this world. I´ve always had a good relationship with her, she had me when she was still a teenager, so it was difficult for her to raise me at such a young age, but that didn´t stop her from following her dreams and she managed to get her career and is currently an excellent nurse and parent, despite everything she was always there when I needed her and now I will be there for her as long as we continue living, she is the strongest, bravest and kindest woman I know and she will always be my role model, in addition to all this, my mom is a very good cook and sings very beautifully, when I was little I remember that she sang me several song to put me to sleep, the one I remember the most is "Hijo de la Luna" by Mecano, I love that song and I still listen to it when I´m sad. My mom is also very charismatic, very funny and lovable, she´s always the soul of the party and we la

My journey learning english

Ever since I was little I´ve always had an interest in learning English, my first exposure to this lenguage was at school. Where I studied we had English classes since the first year, I also remember that I liked some computer games that were in English and I was always intrigued to know what it meant. The truth is that I´ve never done badly in this class, its was not very difficult for me to learn thanks to my constant exposure to content in this language, outside of class I used to play games in English so I practiced unconsciously, and as I grew older I started watching series and reading in this language and now almost everything I consume is in English and I no longer use subtitles, although I think I understand it better than I speak it haha, for this reason what I like to do most in class is speak, because that way I can improve my accent and learn to have fluent conversations but I must admit that I still feel embarassed when I talk to other people who know the lenguage better.

Something I enjoy doing outdoors!

Imagen
Like I´ve mentioned in many of my posts, my family and I have always enjoyed visiting different places in Chile, mainly the south of the country, for this reason the activity I do most on these trips is trekking. Generally the most beautiful places are the most hidden or those that you connot reach by car alone, so it´s necessary to walk considerable distances to see them, the walks can be easy but sometimes they can be really difficult and exhausting, it really depends on where you go. I started doing trekking at a really young age on our family trips, maybe when I was 8 or 9, of course before we didn´t do anything very complex because of my age, but as I grew older we were encouraged to do longer trails. This is my favorite outdoor activity because it makes me feel very connected to the environment, the fresh air and the beautiful landscapes calm me and make me forget about all the problems that affect me in my daily life, it´s a grat way to recharge your ener

My visit to grey glacier

Imagen
In my 21 years of age, I have been fortunate to visit many beautiful places in our country, some of them are Malalcahuello, Pucón, Valdivia, Puerto Natales, Atacama Desert, and many more!. Today i´m going to talk about my trip to Grey glacier, located in Puerto Natales. In my first post I talked a little bit about my visit to Puerto Natales, specifically to "Las Torres del Paine", but now i´ll talk about the time I went to the Grey Glacier, located in the Torres del Paine national park, this was my first time going to this place, at the beginning of the year 2016, I went with my two grandparents and my aunt (she is like a sister because she´s younger than me). The city was beautiful, simple and quiet, there are a lot of good restaurants there, I´ll never forget the salmon, It was so good. The second day of our trip we went to the park, you could enter by car to a certain point, but then you had to walk, after some time we arrived to the entrance of the glacier an

A job I would like to do

Imagen
When I postponed my studies at university a year and a half ago I used my free time to look for a job, the first one I had was at a store called "Flores",  where they sell women´s underwear, I only worked there for a month, it was a good first experience but I didn´t really like the work enviroment. after that I got a job at a store called "Saxoline", I worked there as a part timer for more than a year, I loved working there, my coworkers where young and we got along very well (I miss them ;; ) I enjoyed those times, however, this didn´t relate in any way to my ideal job. I´m studying to be an architect, I actually love my career, I´ve always wanted to be one, but art is a big part of my life ( although I think that architecture can be art too). I´ve talked about this before, w hen I was in school I didn't know whether to study art or architecture, finally I decided to start by studying arquitecture, m y plan is to study fine arts in Spain later.  R

My cultural radar (part 2)

Imagen
The items I´ll talk about today are things that I consume regularly, this are: Music: The truth is that I listen to quite a few generes of music, it really depends on my mood but usually mix very different styles, for example, this last few days I´ve been hearing pop, nu metal (my favorite) and old school reggaeton, so I´ll recomend "Heaven Can Wait" by Michael Jackson (even though his entire discography is great), "Dile a Tu Amiga" by Dalmata and for metal I will never stop recommending my favorite band, System of a Down, you should really hear "Darts" and "Prison Song", my last recommendation is "Youngest Daughter" by Superheaven, it´s a very cool mix between heavy metal and rock! Youtube:  The thing that I do most, besides listening to music, is watching youtube videos, like the last topic, the things I watch are quite different, so I have a lot of recommendations. If you like makeup (mainly editorial) one of my f

My cultural radar (part 1)

Imagen
For the first part of this post I chose Michelle Visage´s cultural radar, She caught my attention because she is one of the judges of one of my favorite show called "RuPaul´s Drag Race". The aspects she talked about were films, books, audiobooks, podcast, TV and restaurants, honestly, I have very different taste in the stuff mentioned, but the thing that interested me the most was the TV show called "Somebody Somewhere", the description she gave made it sound entertaining,  from what I read, the story has a tragic background but is represented in a comical way. However, I don´t think I´ll watch it, the reason is that I don´t watch much TV in general, but maybe I´ll recommend it to my mom, she´s always looking for new things to watch!
